Chinese Chicken Lettuce Wraps
Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 | each | Leek, cleaned and choppedwhite and light green parts | ||
1 | each | Carrot, Large, peeled and chopped small | ||
2 | cup | Shiitake mushrooms, chopped small | ||
1.5 | lbs | Chicken, Ground | Sub. Turkey | |
1 | tbsp | Garlic Olive Oil | Olive Morada | |
1 | 8 oz | Water chestnuts, diced | ||
2 | tbsp | Honey Ginger White Balsamic Vinegar | Olive Morada | |
2 | tbsp | Soy sauce | ||
1/4 | cup | Hoisin sauce | More to taste | |
1 | head | Butter lettuce leaves, cleaned | ||
Chow mein or Saifun Bean threads | Optional, | |||
Sriracha | Optional |
Directions:
- Saute leek, carrot, celery and mushrooms in “Garlic infused olive oil” Olive Morada for 3 minutes, add chicken and brown 5- 7 additional minutes.
- Stir in water chestnuts, “Honey Ginger infused White Balsamic” Olive Morada, soy sauce and Hoisin sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve with lettuce leaves, fill each one with the chicken mixture and top with chow mein noodles or fried Saifun threads.
- Garnish with Sriracha
